The Many Hats of Female Leadership

When I think of leadership I always think in terms of growing the best in people. But there is a certain approach to leadership that is distinct to female energy. Notice I said - female energy. This energy is not exclusive to gender.

We all play numerous roles throughout our life that require both kinds of energy – male and female. For example, I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. In my job, I am a business owner, entrepreneur, author, publisher, trainer, writer, and speaker.

The many roles require a balance of leadership energy to adapt to the situation. What does not change is the fact I am female, my unique purpose and aim to empower extraordinary unstoppable leadership in life, and I strive to bring out the best in people.

Therefore, wearing many hats does not mean wearing many masks. When you remain steadfast to your authentic leadership, regardless of your role, environment, energy, or gender - you are a fully integrated and expressed leader.

So for a Mother’s Day Celebration, I thought it would be fun to gather a group of daughters, mothers, and grandmothers to discuss the many hats of girls and women and how we balance our female leadership and energy. We will examine the different aspects of female leadership qualities – ones that are grounded in love, compassion, and partnership.

If you are in the local area, please join me for this lively conversation as we discuss the two key strengths of a female’s leadership voice - understanding and nurturing.

I will share some exercises from my leadership development books U.N.I.Q.U.E.: Growing the Leader Within and Mom’s Choice Award® winner U.N.I.Q.U.E. KIDS: Growing My Leadership Garden, written for 8-12 year olds. Illustrator, Darlene Warner will join Slover to autograph books at the end.

The FREE session will be held on Saturday, May 8th from 2:00-4:00 pm in the Community Room at Ray’s Food Place, 621 NW Hickory Ave. in North Albany, Oregon.
