Leadership Garden Legacy
2-day Empowerment Workshop
This workshop is for individuals sharing common roles within a family and focuses on the key role you play in the leadership development of your children and grandchildren. For example:
- grandmothers, grandfathers, or grandparents (couples)
- mothers, fathers, or parents (couples)
In the workshop, you will take a facilitated journey into how you grow, nurture, and express your individual purpose and goals in your home. You will:
- distinguish the two Leadership Garden conditions
- learn how to balance and blend four key leader behaviors
- integrate leader-friendly gardening practices in your home
- invent or clarify your unique purpose and aim
- understand and utilize the attributes of effective leadership
- learn the circle of commitment and understand the
"Commitment Paradox" - practice effective communication
The learning outcomes are to:
- cultivate and enrich the soil of your personal Leadership Garden
- empower you to facilitate the growth of your family Leadership Garden using the empowerment tools
- help you enhance or re-write your family Leadership Garden Legacy

Leadership Garden
3-day Empowerment Workshop
This workshop is for those serving in a formal educational capacity with a focus on the key role you play in the leadership development of those you serve:
- elementary teachers, middle school teachers, or high school teachers
- administrators and district professional development staff
- positive youth development specialists, youth group advisors, or coaches
In this workshop, you take a step-by-step facilitated journey into how you grow, nurture, and express your individual purpose and goals in the environment you serve. It is designed to:
- distinguish your individual Leadership Garden condition
- learn how to balance and blend the four key leader behaviors
- integrate leader-friendly gardening practices into your group
- invent or clarify your unique purpose and aim
- understand and utilize the attributes of effective leadership
- learn the circle of commitment and understand the
"Commitment Paradox" - practice effective communication
The outcomes are to:
- cultivate and enrich the soil of your personal Leadership Garden
- empower you to facilitate the growth of youth Leadership Gardens using the Kid's empowerment tools
- engage and support you in the creation of leader-friendly gardening Practice Projects within your school, youth group, or team environment

Leader Balance Workshop - by request
Each individual brings their own unique perspective, agenda, and behaviors to a group. These individual perspectives, agendas, and behaviors either enhance or impede the group process.
Learning to balance, blend, and expand the four leader behaviors: visualize, organize, harmonize, and energize essential to the success of the group and the individual in balancing work, home, and play. This workshop is designed to:
- identify your current leader behavior balance through the Leader Balance Wheel exercise
- assess your group balance and how you can most effectively contribute your strengths
- understand the thriving and surviving tendencies and challenges of each behavior you and your group may face and ways to overcome these barriers
Length: 2 hours
Group size: 10-50 participants
Fee: $500, plus travel expenses for facilitator. Fee includes materials.
Type of group: Any business, coalition, or organization that has a mission and goal that is dependent upon effective teamwork will benefit.
